The annual Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood rolled out on Saturday, 8 April. Held at Clifford Park, guests were delighted when trainers Ben Currie and Michael Nolan shared in a historic dead heat in the Weetwood Handicap. The Currie-trained Col ‘N’ Lil looked to have snatched victory in the 1200-metre Listed feature but the official photo couldn’t separate the gelding with the Michael Nolan-trained Jumbo Prince. The Toby Edmonds-trained Siegfried finished third, a further half length away, after looming up as the winner half way down the straight. It was the first dead heat in the Weetwood since its inception in 1895.
