Grand Central Shopping Centre has shared its top fashion tips to staying on trend as the seasons change.

This autumn/winter season, fashion-lovers can expect subtle berry, wine and burgundy tones, adding choice to the former one-shade-fits-all red. Similar colours from warm toned spectrum can be layered without looking over-the-top, or for the more cautious, a pair of red tailored trousers or a striped, berry-hued jacket will liven up a cloudy day. The berry hues can be incorporated through accessories such as a red mule, a pair of red sunglasses, a bucket bag, or a pair of ankle sock boots.

The warm colour trend continues with the focus on warm undertones. The autumnal shades of mocha and muted green work well as a soft backdrop to bolder colours. Lighten up dark winter tones with soft shades of blue, moss green and dusty silver to add a refreshing dose of colour to cold weather staples.

For something a little more spicy, consider the nutmeg, paprika, cinnamon, turmeric and mustard shades, with tan, gold and white being three hues that work perfectly with yellows. Try pairing shades of yellow or mustard with florals, a classic camel coat, boots and gold jewellery to complete the look.

The third colour of the season is millennial pink, considered a neutral by the fashion industry. Millennial pink is incredibly versatile and it does not have to be as innocent as it looks. Teaming pink with florals will instantly give an outfit a girly feel. Keep the look casual with sporty flats or a quilted backpack. Pairing the colour with shades like grey or charcoal will toughen up the look.

Blush pink is the perfect shade to complement monochrome outfits; lift black basics with an accent of pink through shoes or a bag.
