The annual Beef Bling and Bowtie Ball (BBB) will be held at Jondaryan Woolshed on 26 May. Hosted by Women of Lot Feeding (WOLF) BBB is an important event on the fundraising calendar. WOLF is a not for profit organisation that aims to provide support, networking, contacts and opportunity for women in all aspects of the lot feeding industry.

This year’s BBB special guest speaker is Hayley Robinson, who, along with her husband Brad, had the experience of a lifetime running a feedlot in Russia. Hayley and Brad not only operated the 100,000 head feedlot, but also educated the locals on how to run a feedlot.

The second Beef Up Charity Auction will also be held on the night, giving everyone the opportunity to bid on some of the finest boxes of beef that local feedlots have to offer, with all proceeds going to charity. Last year’s beneficiaries included Beyond Blue, Black Dog Institute, Rick Seeds Charity Campdraft, Lifeflight and Royal Flying Doctor Service, with $4800 being raised for these recipients.

This year’s MC is Brendan Kelly from Elders, who will keep the events of the night running smoothly as well as lending his auctioneering skills to the Beef Up Auction. As well as showcasing Jondaryan Woolshed and shining a spotlight on local produce, this event provides a networking opportunity for the feedlot industry and workers in associated industries. Entertainment will be provided by local musician James Andersson.
