The Glennie School Year 12 boarder Erin Geddes openly embraces new experiences.

When offered the chance to continue her learning journey away from her home in Narrabri, Erin jumped at the opportunity to start boarding in 2015 as a Year 8 student. Following in the footsteps of her older sister Lucy, who finished in 2017, Erin has not looked back. Erin was awarded The Glennie School Ethos Award — Sue Edwards Trophy in 2018, following a vote from students in Years 7 to 12. She embodies the school ethos, supporting and encouraging others, showing compassion and sensitivity and accepting and befriending a range of people.

This year Erin is the Boarding Captain and hopes her motto of living each day as it comes and fostering friendly team environments shines through. With her committee members, Erin plans to host memorable barbecues and themed dinners to facilitate inter-year connections and enrich the boarding experience. Erin enjoys playing the trumpet and piano and is excited about her role as a security guard in the school musical, Legally Blonde.  Futsal Captain for 2019, Erin’s team spirit will be an asset in her favourite sports, football and futsal.  Erin is working towards an OP score to apply for tertiary studies in Medicine, Science or Sports Media and Marketing.  By the end of Year 12, Erin will have completed a Certificate in Sport and Recreation.
