Brisbane Broncos’ Captain Darius Boyd will visit Toowoomba on Saturday 17 November in aid of the 2018 Clifford Gardens Toowoomba Hospital Children’s Appeal helping to support the region’s young patients.

Children will have the opportunity to toss a football with Darius as well as meet and greet with the Bronco’s star from 10am to 12pm at Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre. Numbers for the Kids Celebrity Football Toss are strictly limited to 100 children so registration is a must.

Toowoomba Hospital Foundation CEO Alison Kennedy said the Foundation is excited to welcome Darius to Toowoomba for a fun morning of footy and fundraising. “We would love to see our region’s little footy fans join us and Darius as we raise awareness and funds for this year’s Clifford Gardens Toowoomba Hospital Children’s Appeal,” she said. “We’re hoping to raise $120,000 between now and the new year to bring two new OmniBed incubators to our special care nursery to help sick, premature and high-risk babies under the care of the wonderful staff at the Toowoomba Hospital.”

The Broncos Captain also said that he was looking forward to meeting local kids from across the region.“Toowoomba has a great reputation when it comes to rugby and I’m looking forward to tossing a ball with the kids who come on down to Clifford Gardens,” said Darius. “It’s a great cause that the Foundation is raising funds for and I’m excited to help support it and meet some of the locals.”

Registrations for the Kids Celebrity Football Toss with Darius Boyd are now open for children aged 12 and under. Darius will be meeting and greeting with fans between 11am and 12pm. Best & Less will be selling Bronco’s merchandise to sign.
