The John Mullins Memorial Art Gallery at Dogwood Crossing, Miles is excited to welcome Carol McCormack’s
latest exhibition, Journey’s Treks and Expeditions
from 18 November to 23 January.
In this exhibition, Carol takes the viewer to many of her favourite places – from her home state Queensland which she loves, to the Kimberley, the Pilbara, the Flinders Ranges, the south coast of New South Wales, and more.
The exhibition brings together spectacular hills, colour impressions, plants and animals and many more elements characteristic of the sites she and her husband have visited on their annual explorations carrying a carful of canvas and paint. Finding inspiration while on the road, Carol captures the colours and essence of outback Australia in this new exhibition.
Carol has had a long association with Dogwood Crossing, Miles. With her vibrant and striking paintings, she has always generously supported the gallery’s local, regional and community exhibitions.
She has also been invited to contribute work to special exhibitions curated by Dogwood Crossing including: 2010 CROSSROADS: To the Future
; 2013 The Studio Project
, Western Downs
; 2014 Habitat: Environmental Art of the Darling Downs,
and 2016 Bunginderry: Story of an Artist’s Camp.
