Christmas officially arrived on the Southern Downs last week when the community came together to celebrate the festive season with the Council’s annual Carols in the Park concert on Sunday 10 December at Leslie Park.

Warwick locals celebrated the festive season by donning their best Christmas outfit, with plenty of red and green accessories on display.

Performances from local Aimee Liesegang, Kristy Searson and The Fern Brothers spread Christmas cheer throughout the crowd.

Emma Bell, Chapter 3 and trio Keely, Tegan and Erin Hilton also took centre stage, singing their way through a full program of both traditional and up-beat carols.

Kids delighted in face painting, activities and carols, with plenty of food vans keeping stomach grumbles at bay.

The Warwick City Band and Warwick Choral Society warmed up the crowd with Christmas classics.

Santa Claus made an appearance for the Carols in the Park, dropping in to visit the community.

The celebration was supported by Creed and Lang, Southern Downs Automotive and the Warwick Credit Union.
