The Empire Theatre and singer Amity Dry will present comedy cabaret 39 Forever for those who feel like they are younger than their birthdate stubbornly insists they are, performing at the Armitage Centre on Thursday 27 September.

The hilarious show from Amity Dry has been a success lauded by audiences and critics as the perfect girl’s night out. The show has been performed at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Amity shot to fame as a singer and as a television personality best known for her time on hit renovation programme, The Block. The show is centred around the time when fringe perms and ra-ra skirts were cool, making fun of those moments of shock when a reflection is caught without warning. Amity explores the pressure to stay forever young and asks whether 40 really is the new 30 – or only with the right Instagram filter? Choose between a ticket in the seating bank or grab a table and a cheese box for one of the funniest nights of cabaret in the 2018 Season.

39 Forever is part of the Empire Theatre’s Thrive on Arts, a festival celebrating creativity, storytelling and performance running at the Empire Theatre from 21 to 30 September, during the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and September school holidays.
