The 2017 Dalby Amateur Picnic Race Committee is looking forward to welcoming the 3500 strong crowd to this year’s 105th running at the Dalby Picnic Races on Saturday 30 April.

The day will feature a seven-race program with more than $70,000 in prize money and bonuses on offer. All races will be broadcast on Sky Racing and boast TAB coverage, plus be shown on the Warrego Water Big Screen so attendees will not miss a thing. For a bit of extra fun, be part of the BMO Calcutta — a great way to own a horse for a race!

Designed to delight a diverse set of equine fans, several function areas will cater for different age groups and interests. All-inclusive packages, serving Brown Brothers wines and Carlton United beers, will be available in the Oakey Beef Finishing Post Marquee and the Home Straight Lounge. Race goers looking for a casual relaxed atmosphere can pack a picnic hamper and reserve a table in the Black Toyota Marquee, a great venue for large groups looking for flexibility and a fabulous family friendly precinct. Younger patrons can enjoy party place, the Windsor Treehouse area. Here, sample a selection of canapés served throughout the day and a four-hour beer and wine package, plus a DJ and bookmaker.
If fashions are more your style, enjoy the Dalby Shopping World Fashions on the Field. The event will have five categories — Classic Lady, Contemporary Fashion, Best Dressed Couple, Best Headwear and Best Dressed Gentleman — with prizes and cash totalling $7500.
Continue the celebrations into the night with live entertainment from after the last race. Complimentary buses will run from the racecourse back into town until late. Tickets are on sale from March 10 at Black Toyota Dalby and online via Like their Facebook Page for regular updates and event details
