Toowomba’s Grand Central Shopping Centre announced the opening of four new stores on Saturday, 10 June.
CeX Entertainment, which buys, sells, and exchanges a multitude of products including mobile phones, video games, computers, and DVDs, launched its new store on the ground level of the expansive plaza.
Fours Day Spa and Keep in Touch Health Therapies Centre also opened on the ground floor of the building.
Perhaps the most anticipated launch, Australia’s leading bookseller Dymocks opened its first store in Toowoomba on Monday, 12 June.
The first Dymocks to open in a new location in Queensland in the last three years, franchise owner and bookseller Janelle Fyson is delighted with the new store’s contemporary look. She believes that it will become a valuable asset to the company’s network.
“The store looks fantastic and will become a destination zone for Toowoomba book-lovers,” she said.
“It’s designed as a vibrant, welcoming space for customers to mingle and browse the shelves. Dymocks is constantly evolving its style design to keep pace with today’s customer.”
This new, innovative design includes digital display screens in the store’s front windows, and bookshelves which elevate the sleekness of the bookshop.
“We pride ourselves on setting the standard in book-selling, and Dymock’s progressive retail approach has ensured its continued business success today,” said Fyson.
In celebration of its store’s launch on the ground level, Grand Central’s Dymocks will be offering hundreds of titles on sale during June, with a 3 for $33 special on all Popular Penguin books.
