2019 marks the 70th Anniversary of the iconic Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and on Saturday 14 September, the original Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Queen from 1950, Fay Clayden (nee Ryan) reunited for morning tea with several other former Carnival Queens and Ambassadors to reminisce about the Carnival and the impact it has had on their lives and on the city of Toowoomba. The Queens and Ambassadors were joined by Toowoomba Mayor Paul Antonio and Councillor Nancy Sommerfield for the High Tea which was held at the Exhibition Garden of Philip and Marjorie Martin in Middle Ridge.
