In-home care provider Home Instead Senior Care
has recently become an approved provider of home care packages. The change will allow clients in Toowoomba to select home Instead as their nominated provider.
“Becoming an Approved Provider of Home Care Packages is an exciting time for the Toowoomba office as it opens up our high quality services to all older Australians living in the Darling Downs,” said owner Donna Weis.
“It is changing the face of ageing in this region.
Clients now have much more choice and control over how their government funding is spent. We also provide a service to suit the client and do not require the client to fit into the service or system.”
Home Instead Senior Care is a national network of locally owned and operated businesses, providing high quality in-home care for older people. Its services include assistance with personal care, light household duties, meal preparation, medication reminders, transport to appointments, shopping and social outings as well as specialist palliative and dementia care, training, education and support.
Home Instead’s Home Care Packages Programme offer support to people who wish to remain independently at home with choice and control. No matter the eligibility or funding, its services are now available to support elderly residents within the Toowoomba region at home immediately. The caregivers that populate the in-home staff are not solely assistants with basic care needs either, their services list also denotes the ability to provide dementia and/or supportive palliative care at home, as well as coordinate and manage any community, nursing and allied health services a client may require to enhance their quality of life at home.
