With just over a week to go until Mother’s Day, there’s still time to find that perfect gift for Mum. Grand Central Marketing Manager Marieke Bridgeman said with Mother’s Day fast approaching, shoppers can find a wide variety of gift ideas at Grand Central. “Whether you’re looking for jewellery, make up, some new pyjamas, or even hair salon and day spa vouchers, there are a number of options at Grand Central,” she said.

Marieke said for fabric gifts, there is an opportunity to personalise your gift at Grand Central’s Mother’s Day embroidery booth.  This booth will be located on Level 1 near Myer and Swarovski from Thursday, May 3 and will operate through to Sunday, May 12. “If you spend over $80 in-centre in the one day, you can take any fabric item to our embroidery booth to have one to three letters embroidered onto the fabric to personalise your gift.  You can also select from five different fonts and 15 colours,” says Marieke. To have your mum’s gift beautifully wrapped, visit the Salvation Army volunteers at Grand Central’s gift wrapping booth, located on Level 2 outside Myer.

The gift wrapping booth will be operating on between May 5 and May 6 and May 10 through till May 12.“For a gold coin donation, customers can have their mum’s gift wrapped, with all proceeds going to the Salvation Army,” said Marieke. There are free workshops for the kids to make a personalised gift for Mum in the lead up to Mother’s Day. The Decorate a Tea Towel workshop runs from 9am to 12pm from Tuesday, May 8 to Friday, May 11, for children under the age of 5 years old. Older children will also have the opportunity to spoil mum, with a make a Key Ring workshop for school children. This work shop will run from 11am until 12pm on Friday, May 12. The workshops will be held on Level 2, outside Harper Bee.
