Oscar Oscar Salon Partner Hollie-Jay Taylor and Metro Care’s Matt Gregg said they were thrilled with how the night went and thanked everyone who attended. Ms Taylor said she was excited to collaborate with Metro Care, and looked forward to continuing to work with them on other initiatives and events. “Metro Care do such great things in our community, and as a local business owner, I’m just happy to be able to help in some way,” she said. “Last night was a look and learn style workshop, teaching some of our favourite styling tips and tricks. There was also some great entertainment by The Beamish Boys, lucky door prizes, and a silent auction – which everyone seemed to enjoy.”
Mr Gregg said the Assistance Service is a volunteer run program that helps local community services and not-for-profits support their clients. “It focuses on delivering short-term relief and developing long-term support strategies with clients while maintaining a holistic approach in assisting those clients who engage with the service. The Service is accessible by referral from community services and contacting Metro Care directly,” he said. “We were excited to work with Oscar Oscar on the event. It was such a unique event to collaborate on, and I thank them and everyone who attended for helping us raise much needed funds to continue to help people in our community through our Assistance Service.”
