Toowoomba Anglican School student George Lawrence enjoys the Broad array of activities the school offers.

Attending Toowoomba Anglican School since his Prep year, George has enjoyed the vast range of sporting, cultural and academic opportunities offered at the school. This year, George is one of the Primary School Student Leaders. Recently, he was selected as one of 13 students at the school to attend the Gondwana National Choral School in Sydney. George has also been cast to play Young Charlie in the Empire Theatre production of Kinky Boots being staged in March this year. “I have been given a wonderful opportunity to be in the cast of this production. It has been a good learning experience for me, because I love musical theatre and I have always enjoyed being in the choirs and bands at school,” George said.

As George moves into secondary school next year, he knows there will be many opportunities available to pursue his interests. “I would love to be in more musicals and also to keep learning my instruments and singing in choirs. I really try to have a go at anything I can, and I encourage all of my peers as well. My brothers, sister and I all enjoy being a part of the school community and attending TAS.”

George is looking forward to the school year, which will include a school trip to Canberra and Sydney and performances in the Eisteddfod and the TAS musical.
