Former Wallaby Andrew Slack will be the special guest at Sunrise Way‘s next community fundraiser, the Resilience Breakfast on Friday 15 February.

Sunrise Way CEO Wendy Agar said the rehabilitation service would host the breakfast, with Andrew as guest speaker. “We held our first Resilience Breakfast earlier this year, and it was such a success we decided to turn it into an annual event,” she said. “We’re so excited that Wallaby great Andrew Slack has agreed to be our guest speaker.  His story about the resilience he has required in both his professional and private life is one I’m sure will be of interest to many people.”

Wendy said guests would also hear from one of Sunrise Way’s former residents about their personal journey, and learn more about the important role Sunrise Way plays within the local community. She said she was thankful to FKG Group for coming on as the breakfast’s major sponsor, and to everyone that continued to support Sunrise Way. “We provide an essential service to the community and are not fully funded, so fundraising activities like this breakfast are an important part of our activities.  It’s these initaitives that enable us to help people from our region who have been living with addiction to rebuild their lives.”

Sunrise Way is currently holding a silent auction, with Suncorp donating two items that are the perfect Christmas gift for any soccer fan.
