Theo’s Bakery opened at Grand Central Shopping Centre on 1 December and is situated on Level 1 in the Market Room, near Woolworths.

The bakery is owned and run by Rehannan Theodosis and her husband Geordy, who both grew up in Toowoomba. The couple have both worked in bakeries since they were 14 years old, so between them, they have more than 40 years of experience in the bakery industry. They own another store, Theo’s Southtown Bakery, and have run it for 14 years. During that time they have had three children, and they continue to be a family-oriented business. Geordy’s Greek heritage influences the way the couple look after their customers and how they make their products. Rehannan and Geordy like to make their customers feel as though they are part of the family.

The opening of Theo’s Bakery in Grand Central will give Rehannan and Geordy the opportunity to reach more people and engage more with the community. The couple only use fresh ingredients, and they make their products freshly by hand every day. The new store will include their bee sting doughnuts, which are a local favourite, as well as their hand-rolled sausage rolls. They will also have a new range of sourdough and specialty breads.

Another new retailer that has recently opened is Espresso Max Café, also situated in the Market Room at Grand Central. Customers are invited to visit Grand Central’s newest café and enjoy its coffee and food.

The other recent addition to the centre is Bubble N Sweets, which has joined Grand Central’s Food Court. Bubble N Sweets is a Taiwanese Bubble Milk tea shop selling bubble milk tea, a large range of Chinese teas and juice mixes, and for the sweet tooth, amazing Chinese desserts.
