Since its opening 12 months ago, the renowned Italian pizza and pasta joint, Vapiano has watched carbonara battle against bolognese to finally see which of the two stole the bigger piece of Toowoomba’s heart.

This month Vapiano declared Carbonara as the favourite with almost 8000 sold since last November. But according to General Manager Margarita Perez, that is not the only thing Toowoombians are loving. “It’s Italian food in general. Over the past 12 months we have prepared 22,000 handmade pizza bases and cooked almost 50,000 servings of fresh pasta,” she said. “Fun facts aside, we’re thrilled to celebrate our first birthday in Toowoomba this month and have some fun with our community of carbonara-lovers.”

And they are doing that by running a number of competitions and offers in the restaurant including a birthday lucky dip with $30,000 worth of prizes. Each purchase made throughout the month of November will also have the opportunity to draw from a lucky dip which is full of prizes including 50 per cent off vouchers and free bottles of wine. “We are also giving away $500 worth of Vapiano vouchers to a lucky winner at the end of the month – all you have to do is sign up to our VIP email list and the winner will be drawn on the 3rd December,” said Ms Perez.

Vapiano is also offering anyone born in November a free pizza or pasta on the day of their birthday.
