The Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) will host its next Enterprise Evening in Chinchilla on Thursday 9 August to explore opportunities of domestic gas production for Queensland from the Surat Basin.

TSBE has arranged a panel of industry experts as a result of the Queensland State Department’s domestic gas release, where gas explorers and producers have invested heavily in securing territories with a goal of creating jobs and investing into the gas network of our area of Queensland. TSBE Supply Chain General Manager Lance MacManus said it is a rare opportunity to hear from three such speakers in one room. “TSBE, in partnership with Western Downs Regional Council, is excited to bring the leaders of the recently awarded domestic gas tenements to Chinchilla,” Lance said. “This triple header will allow attendees to hear how Armour Energy, Central Petroleum and Senex Energy plan to build, connect and contribute to the local economy and also supply Surat Basin gas for the domestic market.”

Western Downs Regional Council Mayor Paul McVeigh will be providing a Mayoral address on the night. “Following the State Government’s release of almost 400 square kilometres to exclusively supply the domestic gas market in the Surat Basin, we’re set to see an increase in activity in the Western Downs,” Mayor McVeigh said. “The investment in the Western Downs showcases not only the economic opportunity in the Surat Basin but the connectivity we enjoy to the National Power Grid, which will allow further growth in the energy sector for our region.”

Ian Davies, Managing Director and CEO for Senex Energy; Roger Cressey, CEO for Armour Energy and Mike Herrington, President- Operations and Chief Development Officer for Central Petroleum will each provide an address on the night.
