Three Downs winners are amongst the six announced at the 2014 Regional Achievement & Community Awards for Queensland, which were announced at an official Awards Presentation Gala Dinner at the Events Centre, Caloundra last Saturday November 8.
The Community of the Year Award was won byMiles District Hospital Auxiliary Inc, The Events & Tourism Award winner was FKG Tour of Toowoomba and the Regional Service Award went to Josh Arnold of Toowoomba.
The annual awards program is presented by Channel 7 Queensland and supported by the Commonwealth Bank. The Awards recognise groups, business, individuals and communities who play a vital role in enhancing the social, environmental and economic prosperity of rural Queensland. The awards program aims to encourage the achievements and recognise the significant positive image of these role models throughout regional and rural Queensland. Each winner of the above Awards received $2,500 thanks to the Commonwealth Bank and a handcrafted glass trophy.
