Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) and Food Leaders Australia (FLA) have revealed 21 businesses who will be participating in their 2017 Hong Kong Access Program from Sunday, 3 September to Thursday, 7 September.

The program aims at opening up the Asia market to Australian sellers via Hong Kong. Delegates from multiple industries, including councils, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and services, as well as law firms, will be departing from Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport in a Qantas B747-400.

TSBE executive chairman Shane Charles said initial bookings for the program has been promising, with a large amount of businesses expressing interest.

“We’re expecting additional councils to sign up in the coming weeks, as well as representation from both sides of the Queensland government,” said Charles.

“We are particularly excited for the opportunities for professional firms for Hong Kong in the business sector,

looking at capital raising, the appetite of global investors and finance.”

Access Hong Kong aims to develop the export relationship already shared with Hong Kong through a weekly freight flight carrying 136 tonnes of produce and products out of Wellcamp Airport.
