Airnorth’s inaugural flight from Wellcamp Airport on March 14 was the first of seven return flights every week from Melbourne to Toowoomba.
Airnorth CEO Daniel Bowden said, “This is an important milestone for our business and for regional Australia. We are proud to see Airnorth again breaking new ground.”
“The new flights will allow both outbound and inbound customers from Toowoomba and the wider Darling Downs, to directly access Melbourne and Cairns,” Mr Bowden said. “We’re expanding … our ability to offer customers in regional communities greater access to quality airline services.”
Airnorth has looked to the Toowoomba and the larger Darling Downs community to employ new cabin crew and source local Darling Downs produce for inflight prepared meals.
