Tickets go on sale today for the new Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport routes to Melbourne and Cairns. The first flights to the new destinations will depart on March 14, 2016.
This is great news for those living in the district who would otherwise spend hours driving to Brisbane to board a flight for such destinations.
“Time is money for many travellers and with the level of enquiries we have had flooding in we expect tickets to be snapped up quickly for Toowoomba’s first ever regular passenger jet services,” West Wellcamp Airport general manager Phil Gregory said. “Our Sydney route has been successful and to have additional direct flights to two of Australia’s most sought-after locations is pivotal in the development of air services to our region,” said Mr Gregory.
“Both new routes will mean locals can spend a weekend in either Melbourne or Cairns, which will be of particular interest for those wanting to see some of Australia’s leading sporting events such as the Grand Prix, AFL, Melbourne Cup or Moto GP or enjoy the offerings of stunning North Queensland,” he said.
The full flight schedule is available on www.airnorth.com.au and bookings can be made online or through travel agents.
