Georgie Daniells is a Glennie School role model who is paving the way for young leaders and sports enthusiasts alike.
This ‘all-rounder’ has achieved success at a young age on the sporting field but also excels in her academic study. Georgie’s achievements continue to enhance her leadership skills in her role as a Year 6 School Leader and House Official. Although Georgie started at The Glennie School only two years ago, she has been a high achiever, winning several awards for running and swimming. Her good sportsmanship and natural talent have led her to represent the Darling Downs at Queensland State Championships in swimming, cross country, touch football and cricket. While at The Glennie School, she has been in almost every Andrews Cup sporting team competing against Brisbane schools; a noteworthy achievement for anyone of her age. At home, Georgie enjoys the best of both worlds – living on an acre property at Hodgson Vale during school days and on the family farm at Bringalilly near Millmerran on the weekends and holidays. Her family has lived in different parts of Australia and so she has friends almost everywhere she goes. Ultimately, her parents could not say “no” to settling down on the Downs, to give their children a good and stable education. Georgie aspires to be a vet when she leaves school because of her love of animals. Needless to say, we can expect amazing things from her in the future as she already has a significant sports presence on the Downs.
