A range of ANZAC services will be held across the Downs and surrounds on Thursday 25 April.

Toowoomba’s services will commence with a traditional Dawn Service. Leaving the Toowoomba Bus Station at 5.15am, the ANZAC Parade will continue to Mother’s Memorial on Margaret Street, where the service will take place. Citizens are encouraged to lay wreaths at the 9am Citizen’s Wreath Laying Service, or join the 10am march to Mother’s Memorial, and attend the 10.20am Commemoration Service there.

Dalby’s Dawn March will begin at 4.15 am, leaving from Patrick Street, and continue to ANZAC Park where the Dawn Service will commence at 4.28am. For late-risers, there will be another march at 9.30am, and an accompanying Commemoration Service at 9.45am at ANZAC Park. Nanango will host a number of ANZAC Day events including a Dawn Service and March, starting at 5.20am, followed by a Gunfire Breakfast of savoury mince and damper at Tara’s Hall. At 7am the Pilgrimage to Veterans Graves will commence, with the public encouraged to participate in the journey to Nanango Cemetery. The main Commemoration Service will take place at 9am at the Nanango War Memorial.

Kingaroy’s Dawn Service will start at 4.28am in Memorial Park, with a Pilgrimage to War Service Graves at Taabinga Cemetery commencing at 8am. The Commemoration March will leave from the RSL Club Rooms at 11am, and the Citizens’ Observance Ceremony will begin in Memorial Park at 11.15am. Oakey will begin its services with a 5.25am Dawn Service. At 9.45am the ANZAC Parade from the railway station to the Oakey War Memorial will lead into the 10am citizen’s commemoration service.

Warwick will begin the commemorations with a 5.25am Dawn Service at the Leslie Park Cenotaph. This will be followed by two ceremonies, the first at 9.30am at Eden Gardens, and the other at 11am following the 10.50am ANZAC March to Leslie Park.
