Feather & Lawry Design is growing, with the promotion of Senior Architect Michael Fleming to Partner of the firm. Michael has been with the firm since October 2015 and has more than 12 years of extensive architectural experience. For more than 10 years Michael has provided architectural services to a range of clients including families, property developers, builders and government departments in regional and South East Queensland. He has a broad range of project experience including high end residential dwellings, retail and commercial premises, medium and high rise apartments, education facilities and large scale master planning.

Michael’s projects include the University of Southern Queensland Observatory, Highfields State Secondary College, Wagner’s office fit out and many residential projects including the award winning Escarpment Retreat. Prior to joining Feather & Lawry his experience includes Project Architect roles with the FKG Group and architectural firms in Brisbane. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture (Honours 2nd Class) at the Queensland University of Technology and is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects. He has also served as a Juror on the AIA Awards.

Mike is inspired by design’s ability to shape how people live and interact. He likes to reflect on the generations that will utilise a project and its impact on their daily lives. He aims to connect with clients and form relationships which allow him to tailor the design to meet their unique needs. Mike also embraces digital technology and the improvements it brings to the design process. Mike and wife Bec welcomed twins in 2016, and in his rare moments of leisure time he enjoys furniture making and tinkering on his beloved 1969 Holden Monaro.
