Mitchellโs Great Artesian Spa will reopen on Thursday 29 March following the completion of the new ablution block and deck.
During the renovations, locals and tourists have enjoyed Mitchell’s swimming pool, cafe and fitness centre, which remained open during the construction.
Located in the Aquatic Centre, Mitchell’s Great Artesian Spa taps into the natural mineral water from the Great Artesian Basin to provide treatments that relax the body and are therapeutic to the mind.
The spa has been designed for easy access, which includes a hydro chair for those who have restricted mobility.
One of the pools water is naturally heated from the Great Artesian Basin, which is maintained at a comfortable temperature designed to relax tired muscles, ease tension and revitalise both body and mind.
The other pool is designed for those who prefer a cooler experience.
Natural minerals found in the Great Artesian Basin water is said to have health benefits such as boosting blood circulation, reducing stress, promoting sleep, relieving pain, and treating skin conditions.
The Mitchellโs Visitor Information Centre is also located within the complex.
