Every Monday, guests are invited to join Leeanne Puglisi-Gangemi, daughter of estate owners Angelo and Mary Puglisi, on a personal guided tour of the grounds and wine-making facilities before settling in for a wine-tasting and divine lunch at The Barrelroom restaurant. The tour is filled with fascinating stories and provides a delightful glimpse into the history of the winery, the Puglisi family, and wine-making on the Granite Belt.
The wine-tasting is a pleasure, for Leeanne has been part of the wine-making process since she was a girl, and loves sharing the unique flavour profiles of each vintage. The wine-tasting continues throughout the meal, with each course specially paired with the perfect wine.
The meal is designed and prepared by The Barrelroom’s owner-chefs Travis Crane and Arabella Chambers. It features an ever-changing seasonal menu sourced from food that is either grown in the kitchen garden or purchased as paddock gate to plate produce. From Mallow sheep and wild venison to Ballandean pork and Killarney beef, the very best produce of the region is on spectacular display. The meal includes luscious dessert such as creamy rhubarb tart with bay leaf gelato.
