Beatlemania is coming to Toowoomba on Sunday 6 October with the best of Toowoomba’s musicians coming together to pay tribute to The Beatles, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of their final studio album Abbey Road.

The From Abbey Road to Empire tribute concert presented by the Dodd Family, JB’s Cabaret and Don Duffus will relive 32 of The Beatles greatest hits with a live orchestra and 80-piece choir including strings and brass sections. All proceeds raised from the concert will go to BreastScreen Queensland Toowoomba service via the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation in aid of helping local women with early breast cancer detection.

Terry Herbert founder of JB’s Cabaret, said the music of The Beatles has a real way of bringing people from all ages together so it only seems fitting that all proceeds raised go to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation. “Over the past four years JBs Cabaret has come together to support the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and with this year being the 50th Anniversary of Abbey Road, it just felt right to be joining forces with Don and David to hold this great event which will go to a great cause,” he said.

Toowoomba Hospital Foundation CEO Alison Kennedy said the Foundation are fortunate to have friends like Terry Herbert and Don Duffus supporting them by putting together this great concert. “The Foundation wouldn’t be able to achieve half of what we do without the support of our community and we’re incredibly grateful that Terry, David, Don and the team are donating all funds raised from the event to BreastScreen Toowoomba,” she said.
