Burke & Wills Hotel on Ruthven Street in the heart of Toowoomba is finally unveiling its charming new design on Sunday 13 May. After undergoing 11 months of extensive refurbishment, the prestigious hotel built in 1956 officially reopens its doors. The family owned Hakfoort Group has enhanced the timeless elegance using contemporary themes and an old world charming design with the addition of state of the art modern facilities.

Guests will now enter the luxury hotel through gold revolving doors which open up to a five metre high grand lobby and two reception desks which are open 24 hours a day. This reception features a custom designed chandelier and a four metre long fish tank. The hotel design is classicly themed with marble panelling, gold detailing, and colourful art. The Hakfoort Group has also created a new look for the guest rooms and suites. Featuring 82 guest rooms ranging from Corporate and Superior Rooms to Deluxe Queen and Luxury King Spa Suites, each of which promises guests the highest quality accommodation. Rooms feature warm tones, plush fabrics, spa baths with waterproof televisions, and walk-thru showers.

A buffet breakfast is available at the Conservatory & Glasshouse daily, and is open to the public. A full buffet breakfast at the Conservatory offers a wide variety of the freshest quality food with a superb beverage selection. For lunch and dinner, there is Zack’s, a modern and stylish restaurant and bar serving quality meals in a friendly and relaxing environment. Zack’s offers dining with a focus on local fresh produce, including signature chef dishes such as Crispy Skin Salmon with sweet potato mash, wilted beans, charred corn and a creamy spinach, pea & chorizo sauce. Zack’s also offers a wide selection of decadent cocktails and fine wine.

The hotel’s range of function rooms allows for flexibility when hosting small meetings, seminars, large training sessions, corporate events, milestone birthdays, engagement parties or weddings.
