Jazzy Lane Hair Salon’s owner Gay Hold accepted the Judy Antonio Memorial Award during the sold-out 6th Business DisABILITY Awards at the Empire Theatre Armitage Centre on Thursday 13 September. The award honours the legacy of Judy Antonio, the Awards’ founder, who lost her battle with motor neurone disease in 2016. Judy’s husband Mayor Paul Antonio presented the award recognising people and businesses who contribute in creating an inclusive workplace and community for all abilities. Gay employs and trains people with a disability at her salon including this year’s Elissa Flanagan ‘Aim High’ Scholarship co-winner, Rhiannon Graham.
