Fourth generation furniture makers Buywood Furniture wholly handcraft award-winning custom timber furniture from its Brisbane warehouse.

For more than 40 years, Buywood has handmade some of the highest quality timber furniture available to the public. Extensive experience and expert advice assist the sketch-to-build process, maintaining the art of woodworking by passing knowledge through the generations, and onto carefully selected and dedicated artisans.

From elaborate dining or extension tables to host abundant family gatherings, to a regal bedroom suite, the Buywood craftsmen can design and custom build just about anything.

The trade also lends itself to sharply modern hat racks, honeycomb bookshelves or wine racks, and other occasional furniture, as well as handsome and comfortable chairs in all shapes and sizes.

The business is also the preferred reseller of Molmic lounges, a family-run business running 25 years strong, designing and hand crafting quality furniture in Melbourne. Buywood showcases several Molmic lounges in its showroom, also enabling customers to order any product from the Molmic current range.

Previous Downs customers have been known to negotiate competitive freight rates with the Buywood family, to deliver furniture to the Darling Downs region.

Buywood prides itself on providing clients with a true insight into the art and intricacies of craftsmanship throughout the creation process, with owner and chief craftsman Lee Kenny overseeing the production of all pieces that come through his workshop.

The Brisbane showroom is located at 78 Farrington Street, Alderley, five kilometres north of the city. By visiting the showroom, customers can experience the quality and beauty of handcrafted timber furniture, browsing the latest concepts by Buywood, and giving customers inspiration for their own homes. The workshop is located at the rear of the showroom, where artisans are at work Monday to Friday, and can give insight into the craft of fine furniture making.
