The Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer, Todd Rohl. Todd will formally commence in the role on 6 January 2020 after most recently serving as the CEO of investLogan, a property and investment company that he developed from scratch.

“Todd’s appointment followed a comprehensive recruitment process, which involved consideration of more than 20 applications from high quality candidates,” Chamber President, Harrison Humphries explained. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but the Chamber Board is positive that Todd is the right person to take the Chamber to the next level,” Mr Humphries said.

Todd has strong ties to the Toowoomba region, having spent a substantial part of his childhood in Acland where his father, Robin, was the Manager of the Acland Colliery.  During his time away from Toowoomba, Todd has remained connected to the region via his involvement in the local thoroughbred industry as an owner and breeder, and through purchasing investment properties in the area. “I am elated about the appointment and grateful for the opportunity, which was too good to refuse,” announced Mr Rohl when accepting the Chamber’s offer.  “I have been pursuing my own business aspirations in the Toowoomba region for a number of years now, as I have seen the enormous economic potential of Toowoomba and surrounds.”

When asked what attracted him to the role, Todd responded that he was excited about the chance to work in the region he calls home, and build on the great work already done by the Chamber.
“I am looking forward to the new challenge that this position presents and working with business owners, city and community leaders, and the Chamber Board and team in taking the Chamber to the next level,” said Mr Rohl. “Toowoomba’s diverse economy, which includes industries in health, education, renewable energy, professional services, food, agriculture, freight and logistics just to name a few, presents economic opportunities like few other places in Australia.  Toowoomba’s connectivity to Western Queensland, the Queensland capital (which is looking up at Toowoomba) and of course globally thanks to the Wellcamp Airport, provides massive potential for business growth and job creation in the region.  That said, I’m eager to do what I can to preserve Toowoomba’s greatest assets, being its lifestyle and affordability,” said Mr Rohl.
