Nominations are now open for the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Board with the upcoming Toowoomba Chamber’s Annual General Meeting for 2019 taking place on 28 October. The board consists of local business professionals who volunteer their time to help guide the organisation in advocating for, and supporting, the local business community. The board meet for monthly meetings and represent the Chamber at numerous events and other business activities.

The Chamber aims to represent the interests of the local business community by delivering products and services designed to support and assist business in its operation and aid in the overall growth the development of Toowoomba. The organisation is known for offering unrivaled business and networking opportunities and top quality information services to its diversified membership. The Chamber offers a long list of calendar event each year, most notably the Heritage Bank Business Excellence Awards which celebrates the success, innovation and leadership in business within the Toowoomba Region.

Successful candidates to join the board  will be members of the local business community who are passionate about the continued growth and prosperity of small, medium and large-scale businesses in Toowoomba and continue to deliver the Chamber’s objectives. Current board President, Joy Mingay is the owner and operator of Classic Recruitment and Human Resources in Toowoomba. With more than 25 years experience she is passionate about her community and opportunities for its growth across many sectors.

Nominations for the board include; President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and general board members. Nominations close 27 September.
