Jo Sheppard has been announced as the new CEO of Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce, and will be joining the Chamber at the beginning of May.

On behalf of the board, President Joy Mingay annoucned that she was delighted that Jo accepted the position.

“Jo will be an extremely strong advocate for all our members, sponsors and stakeholders,” she exclaimed.

Jo comes to the Chamber with a wealth of knowledge in both the public and private sectors and experience working with a board for a membership driven enterprise. Her recent role as CEO of the Clubhouse, along with her previous positions as Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise General Manager of Agribusiness and Export, and Paroo Shire Council Mayor, proves she has represented business and stakeholders at the highest level and understands the needs of associated members.
“The Chamber and the board has been overwhelmed with the responses from members regarding Jo’s recent appointment,” said Joy.

“We sincerely thank each and everyone of our members and sponsors for their kind words and support over the past few months and we look forward to what is ahead for the chamber and most importantly our members.”
