Country Heart Events is welcoming nominations for farmers or businesses affected by drought to win its Take-a-Break Christmas charity event to be hosted at Glennie Junior School Hall from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 December.

For the past three years, Country Hearts Events has been raising money for its local community at Christmas. This year it wants to benefit the people of drought effected bush communities by giving families a nights break away in Toowoomba. Local businesses including restaurants and hotels have been donating vouchers towards the project, but the charity is still requesting additional donations to help provide a nights accommodation for a drought effected family. Donors will be promoted on Country Heart Event’s website, Facebook and at its Christmas market.

The charity asks those who know someone or a family who is directly affected by drought to nominate them directly or via its Facebook page. The nominees will be entered into the drawing of the accommodation packages at the Country Heart Christmas Market. Recipients will also be given additional vouchers and handmade items from the crafts people exhibiting at the market.

The market will take place between 7 to 9 December at Glennie Junior School Hall. Entry is free.
