City Heart celebrated its annual charity fashion event on Saturday 3 September at Armitage Centre. All profits from the evening were donated to the local charity, Toowomba Hospice.

The evening celebrated the best of fashion, beauty, hospitality and entertainment. Guests enjoyed drinks, finger food, and shows on the Empire Church Lawn, followed by a spectacular fashion runway show.

The event is designed to promote the Toowoomba CBD as a hub of retail and hospitality, celebrating local boutiques and other businesses. The event’s coordinators hope to slowly grow the event in future years to allow a larger venue and wider attendance.

Attendees who purchased the VIP experience were treated to a catwalk preview party, goody bag, and other specialties. VIPs were escorted to their seating to enjoy drinks and canapés. Afterwards, they were encouraged to join the official after party with drinks at the Cube Hotel.

Locally owned boutiques in the City Heart and talented entertainers also participated on the evening. Despite the glitz and the glamour of the evening, the core value still rang true- to support local businesses and to celebrate local communities in Toowoomba.
