Race horse and Group One winning sprinter Wanted will soon commence stud duties at Clear Mountain Fairview after being relocated from Victoria.

The son of champion sire Fastnet Rock, Wanted has already enjoyed much success in his short stud career, siring seven Stake performers, including Dead Or Alive, Rough Justice, Sort After, Wazzenme, Shaf, War Point and Sun Seeker.

Prior to his stud career, Wanted competed intensively as a three year old, racing ten times, with eight at Group One level. He finished runner-up in three Group One races that year and only finished out of the top four placings on one occasion.

“We believe Wanted is one of the best credentialed stallions to hit the state of Queensland. Wanted collected over $1.1 million in prize money and defeated an extensive list of track stars — a remarkable achievement,” said Clear Mountain Fairview principal Bob Frappell

With his illustrious racing career behind him, Wanted will now stand at $5500 with payment on a live foal available for breeders.

“There are ample reasons for breeders to send their broodmares to Wanted this season – and let’s not forget about the lucrative opportunities with his future QTIS eligible foals,” said Frappell.
