This month’s Women on the Move networking event, held on Wednesday, March 9, was a very colourful one, leading the ladies to the art studio of contemporary painter Anna Bartlett on the foggy top of Mt Kynoch. It is a perfect setting for attendees to learn about the ways to connect with their own creativity and be inspired by a woman who created her own business based on a simple idea – bringing people together and showing how everyone can create something beautiful.
Shiny Happy Art, Anna’s life’s work, features her colourful and illustrative paintings inspired by Matisse and Ken Done with a focus on people, flowers and birds. However, concentrating not only on her own art but feeling the urge to spread the colour love, Anna also runs ‘Paint Alongs;‘ popular painting sessions where clients (such as attendees of birthday parties) learn how to create their own art with Anna’s help.
“My superpower is ‘making things simple’ and I love watching my paint alongers amaze themselves with what they create.” Sessions can be attended in person or even online on Anna’s website at the clients’ own pace.
