The Zonta Club of Toowoomba’s incredibly popular biennial event, Cooking for a Cause, returns with two executive chefs on Saturday, April 30 at the Highfields Cultural Centre.

This fabulous all-day event, with its trademark hospitality and generosity, is much anticipated by food lovers of the Toowoomba region. Starting at 9am, guests will have ample time to take in the ambience of the beautiful setting before settling in for entertainment and a delicious lunch. Two of the state’s best chefs, Brent Farrell and Ben Williamson, along with local radio personality and chef Lee Faulkner, will take attendees on a culinary voyage, demonstrating tips and tricks of the trade, thanks to major sponsor Highfields Village Shopping Centre. Brent Farrell is the head chef of acclaimed neighbourhood Brisbane restaurant, 85 Miskin Street. Ben Williamson is the head chef of the multi-award winning Brisbane restaurant, Gerard’s Bistro, consistently named as one of Australia’s top 100 restaurants. Lee Faulkner, best known for his radio breakfast show and his passion for cooking, will be showcasing some exceptional Darling Downs produce with some great recipes. Amongst the day-long program of cooking demonstrations, guests will enjoy a two-course lunch with accompanying wine and have the opportunity to catch up with friends, browse the stalls of kitchen goods, deli lines, jewellery and other surprises.

The chefs will be on hand to sign attendees’ complimentary cookbooks and answer any foodie questions. The day will be rounded off to perfection with a glass of bubbles with accompanying regional cheeses.
