The Dalby Wheatmen hosted their country neighbours the Condamine Cods (A & B Grade) and Chinchilla River Rats (C Grade) on Saturday in front of a big crowd for their annual Sponsor’s Day. The Wheatmen A and B Grade sides were too good for the visitors showing their authority and strong home ground advantage to win their matches easily (A Grade 40-11, B Grade 34-15). While Chinchilla got the best of the Wheatmen in the earlier C Grade match, putting on a dominant performance to win 38-7. The A grade side continued their unbeaten start to the season with four wins from four games and now have a bye this weekend for the South Queensland Representative Weekend in Toowoomba, which will include six Wheatmen playing for Darling Downs.
