David Evans Group will donate $2 from every pack of twine that is sold at its Queensland outlets to Buy a Bale between now and December 16. Buy a Bale is a nation-wide appeal to support Australia’s rural communities and Australian farmers during one of the worst droughts in history.
The Buy a Bale drought appeal provides support for farmers by delivering hay and other essentials needed by farmers who have no feed left for their stock. Donations are accepted in several forms; some people elect to donate hay, and truck divers volunteer their time and diesel. The hay that is delivered saves farmers from spending money that they may need for other items.
David Evans Group stores at Toowoomba, Gatton, Brisbane and Nambour are all participating in the Buy a Bale appeal. With assistance from customers, the business hopes to raise $6000 over the four months. Farmers in Queensland and Northern New South Wales are among the most affected by the drought, and some are in desperate need of support to keep their farms productive. David Evans Group see this as an opportunity to give back to the rural communities and farmers who have supported them.
For every pack of twine that is sold between the promotional period, $2 will be donated by the David Evans Group. Customers will also be encouraged to slip in some cash or spare coins into the Buy a Bale donation barrels located in all participating stores. Anybody who is passionate about the plight of Australian farmers can call into any of the David Evans Group’s stores and do their part to help get farmers through this tough time.
