Friday at the Flicks: Sanjuro

This fast-paced Japanese samurai film was directed by one of the most important and influential filmmakers in the history of cinema: Akira Kurosawa. In it, jaded samurai, Sanjuro (Toshiro Mifune) helps a group of nine idealistic young warriors weed out their clan’s evil influences and save one of their uncles who has been framed and imprisoned by a corrupt superintendent. Friday at the Flicks is USQ Toowoomba‘s very own film club where you can come along and enjoy a significant film from cinematic history.
