National Reconciliation Week Public Lecture
It will be a time for reflection and reconciliation as the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) hosts National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week events across its campuses. National Sorry Day allows Australians to remember and recognise the Stolen Generations. Reconciliation Week reflects on Reconciliation Australia’s 2018 theme, Don’t Keep History a Mystery. This year’s public lecture topic is Unspoken Legacy: Aboriginal Contributions to Colonial Australia by Dr Ray Kerkhove, surveying the role of Aboriginal societies in shaping 19th Century Australia.
