Charity Event

The Queensland Country Women's Association (QCWA) is calling all local trivia buffs to book a table at its upcoming trivia night to raise funds for the Heart Foundation. Hosted by the Toowoomba City Business Women’s Branch, the event will feature popular entertainers David ‘The Hassman’ Hastie and Valerie ‘Effie’ Edwards from Top Choice Trivia.

One of Toowoomba’s finest crafts market Country Heart returns this Christmas. Residents are invited to buy lovingly handmade Christmas gifts and raise money for charity. More than 40 stalls of handmade crafts will be in attendance, along with a Christmas fairy, children’s entertainment and refreshments. Easy street parking with disabled access.

Toowoomba community members are being urged to support a student-led push against homelessness. Close to 500 people are homeless in Toowoomba. The University of Southern Queensland will host a Vinnies Community Sleepout on the USQ Toowoomba Engineering Green to raise awareness for growing regional homelessness in regional Queensland.
