Monkey Business Catering has been named Heritage Bank 2018 Business of the Year at the annual Toowoomba Business Excellence Awards held at Empire Theatre on Saturday 10 November. More than 400 Toowoomba business people turned out to attend the red-carpet affair, joining 2018 Heritage Bank Business Excellence awards finalists to recognize their own achievements and that of their peers at what is the keynote annual event for the Toowoomba business community.

2018 Heritage Bank Business Excellence Awards Division and Category winners were chosen from finalists and announced at the Gala dinner. Round Square Marketing won the Tourism category, while Monkey Business Catering took home the Hospitality category accolades. Electrical Sensations was named the winner of the Industry category, Classic Beauty Therapy the winner of the Retail category, and Straney & Collier won the Professional & Business category. Kath Dickson Family Centre was awarded the Community & NFP category winner.

Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce CEO Ms Jo Sheppard was very pleased with the event. “This year’s Heritage Bank Business Excellence Awards have been very strong seeing a significant increase on nominations and applications on last year with a raft of businesses getting involved who have not been involved before,” said Jo. “It was fantastic to see over 400 representatives not only from the businesses involved in the awards process, but from the broader business community as well, turn out to celebrate excellence and recognise the achievements of Toowoomba businesses.

“The Chamber of Commerce congratulates nominees, finalists and winners for their efforts and achievements in particular Stahman Farms who have now been inducted in the Hall of Fame and Monkey Business who have taken out Heritage Bank Business of the Year for 2018.”
