Experience a day on the land and celebrate some of our extraordinary farmers and produce at the Felton Food Festival this autumn on Sunday, 10 April.
This year the Felton Food Festival is putting a special emphasis on giving kids a fun and educational experience to teach them about the paddock to plate process and what life is like on the land. Children’s character, George the Farmer, will be making a number of appearances throughout the day, using stories, songs and games to teach children how our food is produced. Kids will also love the Felton Farm Fossick with Rabobank, where they can fossick around the festival site to find the answers to questions from their own fossick booklet.
The annual festival, now in its fifth year, is a showcase of everything that the Felton Valley is famous for — delectable produce, stunning landscapes, friendly people and real country living. While the food is king, there are plenty of other activities to take part in at the festival. Families, friends, farmers and food lovers can mingle amongst the wide range of market stalls. Take a crop tour, meet some of the local farmers, learn about food production, take in a cooking demonstration, roam with the free range farm animals, enjoy some live entertainment and relax in the country atmosphere. Come along and find out why this festival is gaining such recognition!
Felton is located 30 kilometres south of Toowoomba. There are a number of accommodation packages on offer. Why not stay the weekend and explore this exciting corner of Queensland? To find out more visit www.feltonfoodfestival.org.au
