Festival of Small Halls has announced that Sam Buckingham and Inn Echo will feature on their 31st tour, Summer 2022: Queenscliff Music Festival to Woodford Folk Festival.

During the recent launch of the 30th tour, Woodfordia Inc. director Bill Hauritz commented that this festival is “delivered with love”. This 31st edition of the regional touring festival is no exception, with a packed schedule of 20 wonderful communities hosting this vibrant tour that will span the coast of Queensland, along with one Northern NSW town.

Halls of every shape and size, up and down these beautiful states will fling open their doors for an evening of music, cakes, tea and neighbours. From the forest hinterlands of the Sunshine Coast, over the ocean to Macleay Island, up to the tropics and white sandy beaches of the Whitsundays Region, halls of every size will be filled with soulful sounds and great company.

Famous for their larger-than-life music festivals, Woodfordia Inc. presents a program that showcases musicians from the beloved folk music mecca of Prince Edward Island, in Canada, and from just down the road in Byron Bay, New South Wales. Inn Echo are a young trad-folk trio, blending hundred-year-old traditional tunes with contemporary arrangements and originals that have been enchanting audiences across the Pacific. Their music is captivating and beautifully crafted, each member hailing from a different town, they blend their individual experiences into this project.

“We are beyond excited to bring our music to Australia for the first time as part of the Festival of Small Halls!” said the group.
Sam Buckingham is a folk-pop songwriter whose repertoire has progressed as she has. Growing from her American/folk roots into Alternative pop with fierce storytelling and rich soaring vocals, Sam’s live show combines vocal looping with guitar into a dynamic and intimate performance.

“To be back touring again after two years of stops, starts and a lot of waiting has felt magical,” noted Sam. “To then be invited to work with legendary Small Halls tour feels like a dream. I’ve seen my friends play these shows, and heard them rave about the beautiful shows, the incredible team, and the lovely people they meet along the way. I’m honoured to become a part of
this nation-wide family.”

Festival of Small Halls Summer Tour 2022 starts on the 16th of November at the Mount Mee Public Hall before continuing on to 19 communities across coastal Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
