More than seven weeks after closing Its doors in the wake of the Australian Government’s COVID-19 regulations, Fitzy’s Toowoomba has returned to the kitchen, launching a new Fitzy’s at Home concept.

The hotel has been family owned and operated for 20 years by the Fitzgibbons family who proudly boast five generations in the industry. Fitzy’s has three bars, a full-service restaurant, multi-faceted function facilities, gaming lounge, and live music four days a week. They are proud to run an entertainment and hospitality hub offering something for everyone.

Fitzy’s at Home is offering pre-ordered meal kits, allowing customers to create pub favourites at home. Showcasing local produce such as Darling Downs Mort & Co beef, Fitzy’s at Home is prepared by the popular hotel’s culinary team who are relishing the opportunity. Fitzy’s long-standing Head Chef Brendan Mullins is delighted to be back in the kitchen.

“Before Fitzy’s at Home came to be, I hadn’t cooked professionally for six weeks and I really missed it,” said Mullins. Fitzy’s at Home provides a full meal kit service complete with user-friendly cooking instructions, raw or pre-prepared protein, and ready made sides and condiments for customers to cook at home. “We’ve been test cooking in our own homes and at the hotel too, and we’re really proud of what we have put together,” he said.

Pre-orders can be collected on Fridays and Saturdays between 3pm and 6pm from Fitzy’s rear Church entrance. Weekly cut off periods apply with pre-orders due by 9am Thursday each week. Fitzy’s remains closed until further notice for all other areas of operation with a reopening date yet to be confirmed.
