Lace up your sneakers, pull up your leg warmers and brush up on your grapevine to help the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation raise funds for their Helping Hearts campaign by coming along to their Fluro Aerobics Challenge on Sunday 26 August. The Foundation is joining forces with Fit Lab Toowoomba to break a world record all in the name of raising $105,000 to purchase a portable cardiovascular ultrasound system for the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service.
Toowoomba Hospital Foundation CEO Alison Kennedy said the Fluro Aerobics Challenge is about having fun and getting your heart pumping all while supporting a great cause. “What better way to raise money for our Cardiac Investigations Unit then by attempting the world’s largest aerobics class,” she said. “With the generous support of our community we’re aiming to reach our target of $105,000 to purchase a portable cardiovascular ultrasound system. We’re aiming to see 1,000 people join in on our Fluro Aerobics Challenge with all proceeds raised going towards purchasing this vital piece of equipment. So put on some Fluro, grab your friends and family and come along to St Saviours Primary School Hall for a fun morning out,” she said.
The Fluro Aerobics Challenge will be held on Sunday 26 August from 9am at the St Saviours Primary School Hall.
